The Regional Medical Center of Acadiana Names New Chief Nursing Officer

The Regional Medical Center of Acadiana recently announced the appointment of Anna Burke as Chief Nursing Officer. Burke will be responsible for overseeing Regional's nursing care organization plan and nursing and patient care policies and standards, as well as overseeing all nursing operations.
Burke most recently served as Chief Nursing Officer at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia where she was instrumental in the facility achieving the highest levels of patient satisfaction.
Prior to her Dauterive role, Burke served for seven years, as Senior Director of Nursing for Specialty Services at West Jefferson Medical Center, a 451-bed hospital in Marrero. Other titles she held during her tenure there include Senior Nursing Director, Oncology Services Director and Nurse Recruiter. She also spent 5 years at Tulane University Hospital where she managed the facility's home care services, and served as a staff nurse.
Burke earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Loyola University in New Orleans and a master's degree in business administration degree from the University of New Orleans.
