Coco Receives National Recognition

Julie Coco, Quality and Risk Management Director for The Regional Medical Center of Acadiana, recently earned a national certification in healthcare risk management.

The American Hospital Association Certification Center recently announced Coco earned the designation of Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management. The national credential distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in the healthcare risk management profession.

To become a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements that incorporate a blend of professional experience and education, agree to adhere to the AHA Professional Standards of Conduct and pass a certification exam. The exam assesses knowledge in loss prevention and reduction, claims management, risk financing, regulatory and accreditation compliance, operations and bioethics.
